So I'm back in the good ol' US of A and enjoying it a lot so far. It's been great seeing my old friends again. We've just been doing all the normal stuff, hitting up bars, checking out old haunts. I've also been sleeping a lot and my mom has been cooking the best food for me. After a few months of strange military food, I'm definitely ready to eat homemade spaghetti and meatballs for a while! My mom also showed me the stack of letters she got from her penpal. They're all pretty cool but I think she may have gotten some rerouted military mail as there's a whole bunch of stuff regarding the Verne Troyer Sex Tape. Weird I know, but a lot of guys back at camp were going off about it. Luckily Mom doesn't even know what it is, so her fair mind has been spared that trauma. Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to get off my butt and start doing a really effective people search. I've been thinking incessantly about my future political career and I want to see how people respond. So that's on the menu for tomorrow. Hopefully people are receptive to it, I really feel like I could be a great governor or senator or president. Someday I s'pose.

Today I found out that I'm being sent back home at the end of the month. It's kind of tough, I'm beginning to get used to the weather and the culture. Very different than anything we have back home. It's almost a certainty that I'll be re-deployed, I'm not even going to think about that. Sadly they'll probably send me to some other part of the world. That's the breaks with the military. Sometimes it's cool as hell and other times they send you to the jungle. God, I hope they don't send me to the jungle. Wrong war!

When I get back I think I'm going to start putting out feelers and seeing if there's a future for me in politics. I need to search people that have done it before and can give me pointers. I think I'd be great in politics when I'm done with the military. I don't think I could just sit on my butt in an office for the rest of my life. After everything I've seen it's just impossible. My mom says there's somebody who works in her office that can give me so points on how to give a kickass speech. That's pretty important for politics! Sadly my mom doesn't know his name or address but she knows I can find a person in a jiffy, so she's just passed on a tiny bit of info to me. I'm going to try and get to the bottom of it before I head home.

It's been refreshing not to have to do people searches for my mother. I mean, I like a good people search but not in a war zone! The only downside, of course, is that since I haven't been doing them, I haven't had much to blog about. Well, the weather is nice out here! It sure is hot, though! Ha. Well, I'll just give you this awesome rant To HBO regarding Bill Maher, because now I've got to head out on another patrol! Bye!

Good news. I managed to find my mom a penpal - and more importantly, convince her that she could do a people search on her own. I'm way, way too busy on my patrols here to find people for our family reunion. Who does she think she's kidding? She knows that. Anyway. I'll still update this blog from time to time because it keeps my mind off my job. It's a nice break from my life, and so is this site full of funny lists. I really like this one of places to hide from the law - who knows you may find me in one of them these days.

Whew. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Bet you can guess why? Yep, patrols keep me swamped. It's a beautiful country, and the authenticity of its culture is life-changing, I can already feel it. But still my mom won't let up on the idea that I need to search people for the family reunion she wants to have at the end of my deployment. I don't think she has any idea just how busy I am! I told her that if she wants to find people, she can do it! I told her how to do a person lookup, but if she keeps harassing me about it, that might not be enough. I may have to help her with finding a pen pal.

Well, I'm here. It's actually really pretty here, and the history of this place is just crazy. They have a king here now, and, well, us. But mostly things here aren't too different. The base here is nicely set up. And best of all, my buddy Jim is here, and he's already introduced me around. It was nice to find people here are so friendly. Of course, I have my whole unit here with me too, so pretty much I'm in good hands. Oh, and I helped settle a bet--one of the Sarge's here won't tell anyone what his background is, so I did a person search on him and found out. He took it well and was impressed with my skills. I'm definitely doing the MP program. Oh, and my friend back home sent me this list on things to do while waiting for the doctor. Doesn't really apply to when we go see the docs here, but I thought the rest of you all would get a kick out of it. Anyway, just wanted everyone to know I was here, and safe, and so far, so good.

So, I got back to complete my latest training program here in Chicago and the word came down--we'll be shipping out soon. We're being called "sand sailors" and are heading to this little island in the Persian Gulf called Bahrain. We'll be base-bound, mostly, but we already have guys there.  In fact, due to my people search skills, I found that one of my buddies from basic is already there. I got in contact with him and said I was headed that way, and he said he's already planning where to take me out. Meanwhile, all my newfound skills being a people search private eye has gotten me attention. I've really been liking all this investigating and was telling one of the sergeants about it and he said I should go for the MP program. I'm starting to think about what I want to do once I get out of the Navy, and I think I want to go into law enforcement. I've even been thinking about the FBI. Meanwhile, my mom is a little freaked out about my deployment, even though it's a pretty safe spot. She's already making plans for my first trip back home and sent me this article on how to plan a family reunion. She wants me to help her find everyone for it, when I get a chance. IF I get a chance. Man, in preparation for going out, we're working double time out here. I'm kind of excited, but nervous too. We'll still have internet and all that over there though, so I'll still be able to keep up with my people searching and all that. But still...wish me luck everyone!

I'm finally writing to you from home! I got a month off to spend some time with my friends and family. My mom is again trying to feed me. She says I got too skinny and that they should feed me more. But, I don't think she understands how much I work out. I've also been going out with my buddies. Last night we went to this bar and it was like a friggin high school reunion. Good and bad, if you know what I mean. Bad was seeing a lot of people I didn't fee like being fake to, and good was that I saw my high school sweetheart. Every time I've seen her she's had a boyfriend, but last night she as very single. We talked all night, and then ended making out like no time had pasted. We'll see what happens while I am home. I've also been watching a lot of TV and doing my people search thing. When my mom sees me on the computer she calls me her little people finder, which I don't find cute. I was looking up people search news when I came across PeopleSearchDigest.com-Baidu Search Censorship, which is all about how the Internet is censored in China. Those people are being blocked from finding people! Poor souls. Glad to be an American!

So I just finished reading that some ancient documents about the Knights Templar have been released by the Vatican... and I can't wait to go find more.  Focault's Pendulum is one of my favorite books of all time, and it all goes back to that kind of stuff.  I hear the DaVinci Code is also all tied into the Knight's Templar... but I don't know anything about that.  In other news, I just got moved to Baltimore by the Navy and I'm pretty stoked about that.  It's cool out here... and there's a lot more culture than there was in Florida.  Did I mention I was in Florida ever?  I was.  After Chicago.  Anyway, even with the move and stuff I've still had some time to do some people searching this month and have found some cool articles that I think those of you who are into it like my might like too.  One is about background checks, the other is about how to find someone, and the last one is about how to find people as well.  They're all good, but the last one is probably my favorite.  In other news, they just arrived at my apartment to rip out my counter top and put in a new one... so I've gotta go!

Alright, summer is over and it's time for me to really start focusing on my job. Being a sailor. Haha. No, but seriously, I have been pretty lax in general, like with my work outs. I'm sure i gained weight from mom's home cooking. I'm making some serious autumn resolutions. With that said, I don't have a lot of time to chat, so I'm just gonna post you guys a couple links to check out and then be on my merry way.
